• 石川県

I’d like to show you this traditional, beautiful Japanese garden, Kenroku-en.

Kenroku-en is one of the top 3 gardens in Japan.

In Kenroku-en, there are many glorious pine trees.Please enjoy the features of each season.

You can see lush greenery from spring to summer, and the scenic view of the garden with white snow in winter.

This is the picture of Shiroyone Senmaida. 

It is the rice terraces located in Wajima city, Ishikawa prefecture.

It is known as the first registered Globally Important Agricultural Heritage in Japan.

They are still growing rice in a traditional way.

ここは石川県輪島市にある白米千枚田です

昔ながらの農法が今も行われています

Please drop by a roadside station, Senmaida Pocket Park when you come to Senmaida.

You can have a rice ball with no filling with 100% seawater natural salt, which is made by spending time and effort.

The rice balls with no filling made by ladies on the spot are masterpieces!

• 岐阜県

This is Shirakawa Village in Gifu, 

and it’s designated as a world heritage site.

There are unique houses with thatched peaked roofs, and you can find a different aspect from the urban life of Japanese people.

Gasshou means putting hands together with the palms facing inward like in prayer.

When they have heavy snow, this steeply sloped roof helps the snow to slip off and prevents the house from being crushed.

これは岐阜の白川郷という場所で、

世界遺産にも登録されています。

茅葺きの急傾斜の屋根が特徴の家があり、

都会の生活とは違った一面が見られます。

お祈りをするように、合掌というのは

手のひらを中に向けて手を合わせることです。

大雪になるとこの大きく傾斜した屋根は

雪を落ちやすくして家が潰されるのを防ぎます。

If you come to Gifu prefecture, I want you to visit Gero onsen.

You can enjoy the texture, which is good for your beauty and health.

You can enjoy free foot baths too.

You can go there with a 2 hour drive by car from Nagoya, so I recommend you to go there.

岐阜に来たらぜひ下呂温泉に行っていただきたいです。

肌ざわりが良く美容や健康に効果がありますよ。

無料の足湯も楽しめますよ。

名古屋からも車で2時間くらいで行けるので

ぜひ足を運んでみてくださいね。

Gero onsen is one of the top three onsen sites in Japan.

It’s an onsen which has been loved by Japanese for over 1000years.

You can also enjoy eating around delicious food like croquettes and seared beef sushi.

群馬県の草津温泉と並ぶ

「日本三名泉のひとつ」です

1000年以上続く、

昔から日本人に愛されている温泉地です。

下呂では食べ歩きグルメも楽しむことができ、

コロッケや炙り寿司を楽しめますよ

• 新潟県

Niigata is famous for Nagaoka fireworks.

It’s known as one of the three biggest fireworks festivals in Japan.

We have a lot of magnificent fireworks, so a lot of visitors come here from over the country.

Nagaoka fireworks lead people to pass the thoughts for peace on, so I want a lot of people to come and watch them.

新潟は『長岡花火』がとても有名です

日本三大花火大会のひとつとしても数えられています

盛大な花火がたくさんあがるので

全国各地からとても多くの方がいらっしゃいますよ

長岡花火は平和への想いをつなぐ花火でもあるので

ぜひ多くの方に観て頂きたいです

Have you ever heard of the “Bijin bayashi”?

It’s a beech forest located in Matsunoyama in Tokamachi in Niigata prefecture.

The reason why the roots are bent is because it fighted  with the snow.

Now you can’t see them often because it has been cut down too much, and has been a World Heritage, the same as the  beech native forests are in Shirakami sanchi, Aomori.

Please feel the fresh air and be healed by it with the precious beech trees.

「美人林（びじんばやし）」というのを

聞いたことはありますか？

新潟県十日町市松之山にあるブナの森です。

根が曲がっているのは

樹木が雪と戦った証なんですよ。

青森の白神山地がブナの原生林として

世界遺産になっているように

伐採などで今ではあまり見ることができません。

とても貴重なブナ林の新鮮な空気で

癒しを感じていただければと思います。

The “Bijin bayashi” in Tokamachi, Niigata, has over a hundred thousand people who come to see it every year from all over the country.

3000 beeches reflect the sunlight and in Summer you can see the fresh green leaves, and in Autumn you can enjoy the yellow and orange color changing leaves, and in Winter you can see the snow covered which is like a “World of white”.

新潟県十日町市にある「美人林」には、

毎年全国から10万人以上の人が訪れています。

3,000本のブナの林が太陽の光を反射し、

夏には鮮やかな新緑に包まれ、

秋には黄色やオレンジ色に紅葉する光景が楽しめ、

冬は雪が積もった「銀世界」を

観ることができますよ。

ぜひ貴重なブナ林で森林浴を楽しんでくださいね。

• 福井県

This is “Tojinbo” in Fukui.

It’s beautiful  watching it from the top. But if you’re coming here,  you should try the sightseeing boat.

“Tojinbo” has large pillared rocks, which is rare and only exists in three places in the world including “Tojinbo”.  It is also designated as a national natural monument in Japan.

It often appears in suspense dramas in Japan.

ここは福井県にある東尋坊です

上からの景色もきれいですが

東尋坊に行くならぜひ遊覧船にも乗ってみてくださいね

東尋坊は巨大な柱状の岩がめずらしく

世界にも東尋坊を含め３ヶ所しかないと言われています

国の天然記念物にも指定されていますよ

日本を代表するサスペンスドラマでは

お決まりの場所です！

• 静岡県

Mt. Fuji is a must-see when you have a chance to visit Shizuoka.

As it is about 3776 meters high and is the highest mountain in Japan, it symbolizes the country.

It was not only registered as a World Cultural Heritage site in June 2013 but also is printed on the back of the 1000-yen bill.

From July to September is recommended if you wish to climb Mt. Fuji.

The sunrise from the top of Mt. Fuji is fabulous.

There’re lots of sightseeing spots around Mt. Fuji, including The Five Lakes, so you should visit sometime.

静岡に訪れる機会があれば、富士山は必見です。

富士山は、日本の象徴として有名な

日本一高い山で、高さは約3776mです。

2013年6月に世界文化遺産に登録されただけでなく、千円札の裏面にも描かれていますよ。

もし富士山で山登りをされる場合、

7月〜9月の間がおすすめです。

富士山の山頂からみる日の出は素晴らしいですよ。

富士山の周りには「富士五湖」など、

観光名所がたくさんあるので、

是非訪れてみて下さいね。

Let me introduce you to the famous food in Shizuoka!

The restaurant is called Sawayaka and it’s located only in Shizuoka. It is famous for charcoal-grilled hamburg steaks.

It is so popular that you sometimes need to wait for a few hours to sit.

My recommendation is definitely Genkotsu Hamburg Steak with onion sauce.

Besides the delicious steaks, it’s fun to communicate with the waiters. When you order a drink, the waiters will make a toast with you.

• 山梨県

In Arakura Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine, you can see Mount Fuji, and take a beautiful picture of the shrine with cherry blossoms in spring.

There’s one thing I must mention though… You have to climb about 400 steps to get there!

But you will definitely feel good after climbing the steps.

Chatting with people who take a walk around there is also one of the good things about the shrine.

新倉富士浅間神社では富士山もみることができ

さくらの時期には神社とさくらが映える

素敵な写真を撮ることができますよ

ただひとつ、、この景色を見るには

400段くらいの階段を登ります笑

でも登った後の爽快感はたまりません

散歩にいらしてる先輩方とのコミュニケーションが

ひとつの楽しみです

Kitaguchi-hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine is a shrine in Fujiyoshida City and filled with nature.

Surrounded by nature, you can feel negative ions there.

The spring water flowing in the shrine is refreshingly cold.

北口本宮冨士浅間神社は富士吉田市にある

自然あふれる神社です

緑がたくさんあるのでマイナスイオンを感じられますよ

境内に流れている湧き水にも冷たくて癒されます
